Scene Study Foundations

In this four-week course we will build confidence and compassion for ourselves as humans and actors. We will explore the craft of acting through playful contemporary acting techniques and somatic (body-mind connection) practices that engage the breath, body, voice, and imagination. We’ll work with scenes from contemporary plays and practice tangible, repeatable tools that can be applied on stage, on set, and in life. 

Join Miriam and other local actors to develop a dependable and foundational personal practice. This empowering course is designed to expand your range of choices as you encounter a play, character, script, scene partner, and audience. Examine how, when, and why to apply specific tools and techniques on the journey from preparation to performance. This class is open to any individual, at any experience level who has an open heart and curious mind.
