Born to a family of actors, Edward has been around the theatre for most of his life. After graduating from USQ, he continued to seek out additional training in a range of approaches to the work. From classical Western Theatre to Eastern Physical Theatre, clown, and Theatrical Stage Combat.
Edward Foy a multidisciplinary artist who works in Film and TV (Arrow, The Killing, Once Upon a Time, Supernatural, Zoo) Animation and Voice Overs (Super Monsters, Company of Heroes), Theatre (Beauty and the Beast, Merchant of Venice, MacBeth,) and performance capture (Assassin's Creed, Star Wars: Battlefront 2, Splinter Cell).
In 2013, Edward was brought in to teach with Kate Twa and John Cassini at Railtown Actors Studio in Vancouver and, in 2019, to Tempest Theatre. At both studios, he continues to support and challenge actors in the development of their unique process.
Edward believes an actor's commitment to training is part of a lifelong pursuit of excellence in the work - for actors are athletes - requiring a strong mind, body, and heart.
